Types Of Lifting Chains

Lifting chains are a unique type of chain with a distinctive design and structure, primarily consisting of chain plates and a wheel hub. Depending on the chain material and structure, they can be categorized into several types, including roller chains and toothed chains.

1. Roller Chain

A roller chain is an endless chain consisting of chain plates with rollers mounted on them. These rollers drive the chain through contact with the wheel hub. Its advantages include simple structure, high strength, and high load capacity, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. Roller chains can be configured with either forked or round rollers, allowing them to withstand heavy loads while ensuring smooth transmission.

2. Toothed Chain

A toothed chain is an endless chain consisting of chain plates with teeth that engage with the teeth of the wheel hub. Because the teeth of a toothed chain mesh closely with the wheel hub, it can withstand heavy loads. It also offers high transmission efficiency and a long service life.
